Product description

Millimeter wave refers to electromagnetic waves with wavelengths ranging from 1-10mm, with short wavelengths and wide frequency bands. It is relatively easy to achieve narrow beams, has high radar resolution, and is not easily affected by interference. At 24GHz, 77 or 79 GHz, the performance of millimeter wave radar antennas is very important for these radar systems. They need to transmit to targets and almost instantly receive reflected signals from other vehicles. The key performance parameters of millimeter wave radar PCB antennas include gain, directionality, and efficiency. Low loss circuit materials are crucial for achieving good PCB antenna performance, and the long-term reliability of PCB antennas is also important because these compact antennas and their high-frequency transceiver circuits must also work continuously (when the vehicle is in operation) and reliably operate in more challenging operating environments - commercial motor vehicles.

RO3003 high-frequency material board still exhibits excellent dielectric constant (Dk) stability at different temperatures and frequencies. The unique design enhances the stability of the material and eliminates the step change in dielectric constant of general PTFE materials at room temperature. Very suitable for applications such as automotive 77GHz millimeter wave radar circuit boards, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and 5G wireless infrastructure (millimeter wave circuit boards).

The commonly used stacked structure for automotive 77GHz millimeter wave radar circuit boards is 1-2 layers of blind hole laser drilling.

Application scope of millimeter wave radar circuit board:
